Millions around the globe bore witness as The Oslo Accords, a Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements, were signed on September 13, 1993, by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Negotiator Mahmoud Abbas.
Almost twenty-three years later expectations are unmet and there is wide-spread frustration and disappointment at the lack of progress toward reaching the stated goals. PIECES OF PEACE presents a view of this reality. Excerpts of text from the Oslo Accords cover the Olivewood yet they do not protect it. While the material and the text remind us of common threads among Israelis and Palestinians, the precariousness of the sticks caution us that every move, no matter how slight, alters the balance, the perception, and the possibilities of the next move.
