Organized by Davis Art Services, the Grass Gallery's (107 Main St., North Adams, MA. -- home of Mass MoCA) Summer 2011 art season's first show, “End of an Empire” opened June 23 and ran through August 21.

A juried group show of anti-war art, "End of an Empire" featured art dealing with military actions the US has undertaken since the close of the Cold War.

Davis Art Services formed in 2006 in Los Angeles, organized several definitive shows, including "Srata" at the Beverly Hills galleries of Sotheby's. Since Summer 2008, DAS has been based in North Adams, MA, operating independent galleries and producing professional exhibitions of cutting-edge work by artists from all over the globe. Its goal is to produce the most exciting shows of the best, most challenging independent artists working today.
